Controller
The Intellus Ultra controller is capable of controlling temperature, humidity, CO2 and lighting events. The controller is a single-board electronic solid-state design with vacuum fluorescent display and ten-key membrane touch pad control. Programs can be created and run in three different type of programming modes: diurnal, 24-hour, and non 24 hour circadian mode. The Diurnal mode allows user to specify day (start and end times) and enter day and night set points for temperature, humidity and auxiliary. All lights will be on during the day period and off during the night period and program will continually loop over a 24-hour period. The 24-hour program runs in real time and has 500 program steps and 50 total programs with ramping or non-ramping features. The circadian mode allows user to run in elapse time (either in ramping or non-ramping profiles,) from 1 minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes and has 60 total program steps and 20 total programs.
Webserver with Gateway Device (optional)

Control any Percival chamber remotely using a Windows based PC or Windows Mobile 5.0 TreoTM 700 WX smart phone manufactured by Palm®. The Intellus Web server is accessed using Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater (requires network or internet connection to chamber). No additional software is required.
The Intellus Web Server allows the end-user to:
• View current set points and process values, alarm status, alarm settings, program operation mode, program steps and controller time
• Modify and run manual settings
• Modify alarm settings
• Configure defrost settings (if applicable)
• View and reset light lifetime for lamp maintenance (if applicable)
• Configure and run diurnal program and multi-step programs
• Sequence multi-step programs
• Modify calibration offsets
• Configure security logins/passwords
• Configure e-mail addresses for alarm and current chamber status notifications

IntellusTM Ultra Touch Screen Computer system and IntellusTM Ultra Control Software
Percival Scientific offers the Intellus Ultra Control Software and Intellus Ultra Touch Screen Computer System. The Intellus Ultra Control Software is a powerful management system that allows you to precisely and effectively control, monitor and collect data from Percival chambers. It utilizes a user friendly graphical interface (GUI) that is intuitive and simple to master. The software can be purchased separately and installed on a Windows based PC locally or remote from the chambers.
Intellus Ultra Touch Screen Computer system features:
• The Intellus Ultra Touch Screen Computer system includes all of the Intellus Ultra control Software features
• 10.4” SVGA 800 x 600 color touch screen
• Redundancy of controllers ensures that if the computer fails the chamber will continue to operate according to the program retained in the Intellus Ultra
controller’s memory
WeatherEZE (optional)

Revolutionary WeatherEze offers you two powerful software options for chamber control.
The Simulated Environment option allows you to select any location on the globe. This program will simulate the average weather and incident radiation conditions at the site with a user-selected starting date and time.
The Realtime Control option allows you to choose real-time control for any location across the globe. While the UnitedStates and Europe have ample real-time weather data available, some limitations exist in isolated areas because the global densityof real-time weather data is variable.
Key Features
WeatherEze allows your chamber to have real-time duplication of the temperature, relative humidity, and solar lighting for any global location. Data entry is accomplished either by latitude and longitude or simply clicking on a world map. Updating of actual conditions is accomplished through continuous connection to the internet and a real-time link to METAR data. This allows unsurpassed realism in duplicating the natural environment within the chamber. The ability to fully duplicate temperatures are limited by the maximum and minimum temperature control of the
chamber, typically 4º 44ºC (lights off) and 10º 44ºC (lights on).
¥ If real-time duplication is not desired, the control software has the ability to model the last 30-year average climatic conditions of temperature, relative humidity and solar quantity and quality for any site on the globe. Even without the real-time link, WeatherEze still achieves a new level of environmental simulation.
¥ Once the required settings are selected, the chamber runs itself with no further intervention required. You can monitor the status by examining real-time feedback in the control panel. The program can be placed in your system’s start-up folder for precise operation even if a reboot occurs.
¥ Complete file logging of set points, current conditions and METAR data give you a record to document the temperature, relative humidity, lighting and corresponding actual values in a convenient comma spaced value (CSV) file for later processing or documentation.
¥ Real-time daily graphs of temperature, relative humidity and CO2 let you see at a glance where the chamber set points and actual values are, as well as what the next values will be for that day.
WeatherEze is the result of a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with the United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service to incorporate their environmental simulation models into this revolutionary chamber control software.
(Experiment Protection) Adjustable high and low temperature controls, audible alarms and visual indicators are provided. The controls shutdown all the power to the chamber, and activates alarms. When the temperature returns to the normal range the system will automatically reset.
22-gauge interior and 18-gauge exterior electro-zinc plated steel construction. (Stainless Steel interior available upon request.) All seams and joints on the outer and inner shells are welded. Inner shell is supported by a non-compressing and non-thermal conducting material to lock the inner liner in place without a metal-to-metal bond to the outer case. The chamber is completely self-contained. Overall wall thickness is 2" (5.1cm). Access ports are provided on the R.H. wall, (please refer to model for number and size of ports.) Chamber floor is equipped with a floor drain and hose assembly. The chamber also contains caster assembly and adjustable leveling legs to compensate for floor unevenness in the lab.
Interior and exterior painted with highly reflective, environmentally friendly, high temperature baked white powder coating.
Woodless construction using CFC free insulation. Overall wall thickness is 2" (5.1 cm), ample insulation for maintenance of stated temperature range.
