The PGC-9 is a space-efficient, dual-compartment reach-in plant growth chamber designed for vascular plant research, standard plant production, plant pathology, and seedling germination. With uniform upward airflow, energy-efficient LED lighting, and independent experiment protection, the PGC-9 delivers reliable, repeatable environmental control in laboratories with limited floor space.
Features
IntellusUltra® Controller: Android-based touchscreen provides 24/7 chamber monitoring and control of temperature, lighting, and optional humidity and CO₂. Supports step and ramp programming, deviation alarms, dual experiment protection, and power failure event logging.
LED Lighting System: One tier per compartment lit by SciWhite LEDs enhanced with Red, programmable up to 660 μmoles/m²/s at 6″ (dimmable 10–100% in 1% increments). Lighting is fully programmable through the IntellusUltra® controller.
Uniform Upward Airflow: Conditioned air moves vertically upward through perforated aluminum channel work benches, promoting consistent temperature and gas distribution across the growing area.
Dual-Compartment Design: Two independently accessible compartments allow parallel experiments or separation of research protocols within a single footprint.
Reliable Refrigeration: Self-contained air-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass ensures precise temperature control, continuous compressor operation, extended system life, and prevention of evaporator ice buildup.
Experiment Protection: Adjustable high and low temperature safety limits with audible and visual alarms and automatic reset when normal conditions are restored.
Durable Construction: Electro-zinc plated steel interior and exterior, polished stainless steel floor, integrated floor drain, heavy-duty swivel casters, and leveling legs for laboratory environments.
