Percival Scientific Dew Formation Chamber Model I‑36D
Precision Environmental Control for Plant Pathology Research
The I‑36D is a specialized dew formation chamber designed for short-term plant pathology studies and inoculation experiments. Its focus is on precise temperature and humidity control, making it ideal for dew deposition studies, rather than long-term plant growth.
Features
IntellusUltra® Controller: Android-based touchscreen enables 24-hour real-time monitoring and control of temperature, lighting, and humidity. Offers step/ramp programming, deviation alarms, and experiment logging for precise research control.
Airflow & Circulation: Natural airflow ensures uniform temperature distribution during dew deposition.
Lighting: Contains working light controlled by IntellusUltra for observation purposes (not intended for plant growth).
Durable Construction: Interior made of stainless steel and aluminum with non-corrosive finishes. Walls include stainless steel cooling plates to absorb radiated heat; false ceiling prevents water droplets from settling on upper-tier plants.
Experiment Protection: Adjustable high and low temperature controls with audible and visual alarms. Automatic system reset when normal conditions return.
Convenience & Flexibility: Four adjustable shelves, caster assembly, and leveling legs for floor compensation. No side access ports.
Core Technical Highlights
-
Exterior Dimensions: 33.5″W × 33.6″D × 77.2″H (requires 6″ clearance on right side)
-
Interior Space: 29.7 cu ft
-
Work Area: 19.5 sq ft across four shelves
-
Maximum Growing Height: 10.5″ per tier
-
Temperature Range: 10–32 °C (±0.75 °C)
-
Humidity: Up to 100% RH via stainless steel water pan with immersion heater and float valve
-
Shelving: Four epoxy-coated steel wire shelves (27.5″D × 25.5″W), adjustable in ½″ increments
