The LT‑105 is designed for experiments requiring extreme cold and controlled lighting conditions, including cold hardiness testing, freeze tolerance, heat stress studies, and seasonal temperature simulations. Its constant temperature defrost system allows the chamber to operate at low temperatures under full lighting without defrost-induced temperature spikes, ensuring reliable and repeatable experimental conditions.
Features
IntellusUltra® Controller: Android-based touchscreen provides 24/7 monitoring and control of temperature, lighting, humidity, and CO₂ (optional). Offers step/ramp programming, deviation alarms, and experiment logging.
Lighting System: One tier of SciWhite LEDs enhanced with red, programmable up to 1,450 μmoles/m²/s at 6″, dimmable 10–100%, with vertically adjustable lamp bank.
Airflow & Circulation: Conditioned air moves uniformly upward through the workbench via perforated aluminum channels. Fresh air inlet and outlet are adjustable.
Refrigeration & Defrost: Dual-coil system with hot gas bypass ensures constant low temperature during full lighting without defrost spikes. Optional water-cooled or outdoor all-weather air-cooled units available.
Durable Construction: Interior made of 22-gauge stainless steel with perforated aluminum workbench; exterior is 24-gauge Galvannealed steel. Casters and leveling legs included; chamber floor with drain and tubing.
Experiment Protection: Adjustable high and low temperature controls with audible and visual alarms. Automatic reset when conditions return to safe range.
Convenience: Two large doors (26″ × 48.5″) and two 1.25″ access ports for instrumentation or sensors.
