Percival Scientific Reach-In Plant Growth Chamber Model E-36VL
Precision Plant Growth for Research & Laboratory Environments
The Percival Scientific E-36VL is a controlled-environment plant growth chamber engineered for high-density research applications requiring precise light quality and thermal stability. Frequently used for seed germination, seedling development, algal culture, Arabidopsis growth, and vascular plant research, the E-36VL combines externally mounted LED lighting with advanced environmental control to ensure reproducible, contamination-free experimental conditions.
By isolating the lighting system from the growth space using heated, dual-pane glass sidewalls, the E-36VL delivers high-intensity illumination while minimizing thermal load inside the chamber — a critical advantage for sensitive plant and algal studies.
Features
Externally Mounted LED Lighting: SciWhite LEDs with enhanced red spectrum are separated from the growth space by heated, dual-pane tempered glass, eliminating condensation while preventing lamp heat from influencing chamber temperature.
Precise Light Control: Delivers up to 515 µmol m²/s at 6″ from the lamp canopy, fully programmable and dimmable from 10–100% via the IntellusUltra™ controller.
Stable Environmental Conditions: Tight temperature control of ±0.5 °C across a wide operational range ensures consistency for long-term biological research.
High-Density Growth Capacity: Five adjustable shelving tiers provide 27 sq ft of usable work area within a compact reach-in footprint.
Experiment Protection: Dual temperature safety limits with audible and visual alarms automatically protect experiments and reset once conditions return to range.
