Market Forge Industries

Company Profile

For the past century, Market Forge Industries of Everett, MA, has been helping customers to forge a better future. A company that is now wholly owned by its employees, Market Forge remains the leader in countertop steamers and future-directed technology. With dedication to excellence and reverence for tradition, the employee-owners of Market Forge take pride in their products, facilities, and people.

In the 1920’s, the manufacturing company emerged as a national entity, specializing in meat racks and refrigeration equipment. Towards the end of the decade, Market Forge began to fabricate products out of stainless steel. One of their new products was a cast iron vegetable steamer, which was the first modern steam cooker.

In the 1970s, Market Forge sold many of its divisions and focused on becoming the premier steam equipment manufacturer in the world. By adding products to its line such as steam jacketed kettles and Tilting Skillets the company was well on its way to completing its mission.

Today, the products introduced by Market Forge decades ago are still featured in their existing line of products. By continuously improving upon the original, the company has successfully managed to maintain its level of excellence within the industry.

Market Forge continuously works to improve products that are already considered to be top of the line. They also remain the premier steam equipment manufacturer in the world.

At Market Forge, customer satisfaction is the primary goal. Employee management ensures that the entire workforce is dedicated to supplying superior products while cooperating in a participatory environment. Market Forge has established many internal teams to work together to increase productivity, improve the manufacturing processes, assure quality, and provide prompt customer service.

Looking forward to another century of leadership, Market Forge will continue to reinvent steam products in order to reinvent their business. Because the challenge of being committed to excellence lies in continuing to excel.

After all, Market Forge isn’t just a company trying to make better steam equipment…it’s a century worth of dedication to forge a better future

In the US and abroad, thousands of laboratories, processing plants, farms, and other related industries trust Sterilmatic STM-E for reliable and affordable sterilization solutions. Sterilmatic Sterilizers were designed for people who wish to have a steam sterilizer that is low-cost, automatic, and will always deliver optimal performance even after continuous operation for years.

It has the advantage of being able to use plain tap water as one of its economic features. In fact, you should only use tap water in these units. Water that has been distilled will damage the chamber and lead to premature pitting.   In addition to its durable stainless steel construction, the unit is designed with adjustable leg extensions, which enable it to be installed over existing floor contours and leveled accordingly. In spite of its simple design and appearance, the Sterilmatic stand is a very effective method for mounting, since it permits secondary air circulation.  As a result of the open design, this product is easy to regularly clean as it promotes the best possible sanitary conditions.

The Market Forge Sterilmatic autoclave can sterilize anything from simple glassware and rubber gloves to liquid samples and flasked solutions up to 1/2 Gallon (2 liters) in volume. It is the ideal companion for any well-equipped work area. Featuring 15 psi of pressure, the Sterilmatic also features a switch for instruments or liquids, along with instructions for easy operation.
